The Account Director for our homebuilding team is responsible for leading the strategic planning and management of all advertising/PR efforts for builder accounts. Their primary focus centers on client relationships and team management and growth. Experience in the homebuilder/developer industry is required to strategically lead and run homebuilding accounts. The Account Director is also expected to generate organic growth with existing accounts as well as participate in new business initiatives.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Grows and nurtures client relationships as lead contact on account. Stays appraised of client’s business, industry and its developments
  • Negotiates proposals, contracts and budgets with client, making modifications as necessary.
  • Coordinates activities with client services team to carry out approved campaign (s) on time and within budget.
  • Uses market research information to lead strategic plans and develop campaigns with various agency disciplines, evaluate, adjust and redirect campaigns, as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality while working closely with client regarding all aspects of campaign and budgets.
  • Serves as lead liaison between agency leadership and other agency disciplines and teams
  • Effectively presents and pitches agency work/proposal to clients; supports other client services team members in these functions.
  • Manages review of Hot Sheets, client billing; codes invoices and tracks billable time daily.
  • Participates in development of new business for agency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage two or more employees in AS team.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; mentoring and goal setting; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; creating good working relationships, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
